Announcements from Immigration Attorneys

There has been a rash of announcements in recent weeks, from Immigration Attorneys indicating that there will be further delays in the immigration process for nurses that will result in an additional delay of two to three years.

Most of these announcements refer to an extended wait for 'work authorization'

Please be aware that there are many different ways of obtaining visas for RN's and the processes referred to in these announcements are not those used by GlobalCare, and thus we are not affected by these particular changes in procedure.

 

Visa Retrogression

You may have heard this term mentioned in recent weeks, so we thought a few words of explanation about it's affect on your nurses and our candidates would be in order.

Visa Retrogression is basically an immigration quota that was introduced some time ago by an Act of Congress. The quota is administered by the Department of State, not the Department of Homeland Security.

The quota was suspended a few years ago, because of backlogs in processing. Now that new systems have been introduced, the quota has been re-established.
